Dear Mr. Marcus,

I am writing regarding the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. As you know, room attendants, servers, cooks, front desk agents, and other workers at the hotel voted to join UNITE HERE Local 1 in August of 2025.

I am concerned by the results of the recent report on working conditions at your hotel. We urge you to settle a fair contract with the workers at your Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, with wages and benefits that build up and strengthen Madison and all of Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin tourism industry saw record-breaking numbers in 2024, with Dane county generating over $2.6 billion in economic impact alone, according to Travel Wisconsin. Hotel workers like those at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace are the backbone of the Wisconsin hospitality and tourism industry. They deserve better than missed meals, eviction notices, and years without medical care.
