In the middle of contract negotiations, the Space Needle abruptly announced the complete shutdown of its unionized photo department. This move threatens our livelihoods, our healthcare coverage, and our right to organize. The community at large is disappointed by the Space Needle's decision to dissolve the Photography Department, a department that had recently organized to join the union at the Space Needle and had been negotiating a first contract. These workers deserve dignity and respect and to maintain their jobs. We call on the Space Needle to reverse its decision to shut down the the department NOW!
